How to reset the OBC?

Hi guys,

I'm new in the BMW world and have a question about the OBC.

Today I have bought a BMW 540i (1997) that came from Japan - I'm in New Zealand btw.

So I was playing with the OBC, trying to understand all those settings, when somehow the screen went off. I have tried to turn the screen on but have no luck. I got the OBC manual but it's all in Japanese! no way! hahaha

I'm afraid I have changed the option to "Monitor off" but can't get that back. I know the buttons are working 'cause I can turn the little button and when I push it it changes to something, like radio or CD.

So please, if someone knows how can I reset the settings completely to get the screen on back again, let me know.

... it you hit the selector knob again it should come back if the monitor is just off...
