hi can anyone help me in removing the fan blade of an E34 M50 lump so i can access the thermostat housing bolt,

how do i undo this fan

You need a 32mm wrench and a hammer :-)

It is reverse thread so make sure to loosen by going clockwise, Hopefully you havent removed any drive belts cuz you want those on still. Put the wrench on the fitting of the fanclutch and use the hammer to hit it down and clockwise. Sometimes they can be stubborn so dont be afraid to give it a good wack. If it absolutely will not come loose then there is a special tool to hold the water pump pulley solid while you loosen it.

You need the tool or "strategically" placed screwdriver

if you stop one belt, you stop everything.
