How To Open The E39 Air Filter Housing

sorry if this sounds too simple but I was told "to relase air filter housing clips" to open the housing so I can replace the air filter. Well, I do not see any air filter housing clips. (I did see mass air flow sensoe clips). So how do I open the air filter housing?

Well, I figured it out. share the info here.

There is no housing clips on the 6-cylinder. All I had to do is pulling the filter cover out.
5 min. job.
