how long does "in transit" usually take? - BMW Forum

Our new 535xi is shown as "in transit". Can anyone tell us how long "in transit" usually takes? Also, what port do BMWs come into?

Truthfully, it is likely 3-4 weeks. My wife's 2007 328xi was "in transit" and was diverted to my dealer for us as it was the right color etc. It still took a solid 3-4 weeks before it was at the dealer and read for pick up. Frustrating, yes, but ooooh the fun you'll have when you get you beastial baby!

I'll answer my own question. From the time the "Owner's Circle" (BMWUSA.COM) reported the car was "en route" until it arrived at the "Processing Center" was 15 days. From the time the Owner's Circle reported the car at the Processing Center, until it arrived at the dealer was 5 more days. We pick up the car tomorrow!!! Hope this info is helpful to others waiting for their ordered car to arrive.
