vr6glx is an unknown quantity at this point
I have a 95 540i and need to replace the battery, I assume it is under the passenger side rear seat, just can't figure out how to get the seat up... help please inspections tomorrow

yes it is under the rear seat, its one piece , i tottally forgot how to get it up, but im sure someone here will know.

here should be 2 clips under the front edge of the rear seat.. jut unclip the seat

Push the bottom edge (where the seat meets the carpet) in/rearwards, that should get the seat off the clips, then lift up and the seat comes off.
