how do i check the tranny fluid

I have a 2000 528i with auto tranny just curious how to add or check the fluid i lost some during the engine swap... thanks for any info...

You would not have lost any transmission fluid unless you removed the torque converter, I presume its an auto as you havent said.

i bought the car with a lock up motor so i had to pull the torque converter... an lost a lil fluid i put the new engine in an the car sounds great but when you drive it it shifts in 2 kinda hard an when you just go back in forth in to the gears from park to reverse to forward. oh when the mass air flow sensor is plugged in the car will not start you un plug it, it starts up fine.... any ideas

sounds like a bad MAF.....
there should be 2 plugs a Fill and a Drain like a manual trans you check it running in neutral
