High Beams Problem

I have the weirdest thing happening. When my lights are on and I release the brakes, my high beams turn on. I have to manually turn them off everytime I release the brakes. Imagine how annoying that is. The workaround for now is when I also have the fog lights on, the high beams do not come at brake release. I still want to fix this but even the BMW auth. repair shop hasn't seen this before. Is this an electrical problem and should I be concerned?

That was my first Post........ Now the High Beams will turn on and off by themselves and when the fog light are on, they come on at brake release. Are there steps I can take to troubleshoot before bringing it back to get fixed?

sounds like a faulty light control module or a grounding issue.

Can I replace the light control module? I just don't want to bring it to the dealer if I don't have to.

I think you can replace it youself. The part is called LKM, and I think it's gonna cost you a arm and a leg.
