Help - Removing The Window Regulator On My 99 528i - BMW Forum

I am in the middle of removing the regulator/motor from the driver's side rear door and cannot acess the torx bolt at the top. How on earth is this done? Do I remove the window? If I can just get the window up a little higher or down a little more I can reach the bolt through the small acess hole in the side of the door.

My search of the archives has so far revealed nothing. I can take pictures and post them if it will help.

Take the inner scrub molding off so that the glass can come off. This is the felt like moulding that runs against the window on the inside edge.

Thank you. I actually have the trim off. But I just found this on a search http://www.bmwtips.com/tipsntricks/WindowR...r/regulator.htm and will be trying that. Hope it works.

im sorry i read wrong u said drivers rear, i thought it read drivers. Rear is much easier.

No prob. I am going out to see if a 10mm really works...must be on the back side of the torx bolt.
