Help with my 97 528

Today while at the carwash my 97 528 caught a missfire. It was running good all day. I got an oil change, replaced brake pads and rotors, also had my spark plugs replaced (NGK copper). My ABS, Brake and Traction lights are on what can this be. These lights were on before the brake job. I purchased the car yesterday dirt cheap and figured it would be worth it. Thanks

When you replace your brake pads you also need to replace your Brake Pad Wear Sensor. Their one time use. About $14 at the dealership.

A misfire is normally caused by a spark issue. Be it the plugs, coils, or coil boots. Check your coil boots as they can crack with age and can cause reduced spark efficiency.

By any chance do you know of anyone who rebuilds the ABS modules. I really like this car and would like to have it on point with everything. Its just in need of some TLC.

Acording to my OBD Codes PDF:

P0500 Vehicle Speed Sensor Malfunction

P0305 Cylinder 5 Misfire Detected

Is that what the code reader said, or did it just spit out P0500?

The code that showed up was P0500? Or both?
