| Help! Looking for used Beemer!
I'm looking for some helpful advice on buying a used 5-series BMW. My budget is only 9K, but this will be a second car for me and not a daily driver. What I'm finding in my price range are mostly 1998-2000 528's with the 2.8 engine(I think that's right) with 80K to 100K miles.
It would be helpful to know if there are any models, engines or transmissions I need to stay away from. Also, what should I be looking for in the way of maintenance records for a BMW with 100K miles on it. Are there any major service items that should have been completed at that point? Your advice & opinions will be greatly appreciated as this will be my first BMW. Thanks in advance!!
