Ahhhhhhhh! I bought some chrome rings to go on my instruments in my e39, but after removing the instrument cluster from the car I can find no appearent way to access the dials in order to install the rings. Has anyone done this before? This has become one of those jobs that looks oh, so easy but has become a real PITA. I've only managed to put two small cracks in the face of the cluster.:
Thanks a lot!!

The e39 instrument cluster is not meant to be taken apart. It can be done but is very difficult. I think there may be a DIY at www.bmwtips.com
Good Luck

I went there first. They don't have it. That is a great sight, though. I've used it for alot of my projects.
Thanks!

Hi DT,
Would you be able (and willing) to post the instructions on how to disassambl eth ee39 instrument cluster again? I will greatly appreciate it. Thanks.
