| Help and info needed on e28 m30
Hi guys
Im just about to buy my first beamer!
its a e28 528i old skool bm, its bright red, 16inch deep dish alloys, fsh, loads of receipts on 100k
Im not very clued up on BMWs of anykind never mind the old ones, im going to be swapping it for my rover coupe turbo, which is worth around 1.5-2k do you think its a good deal?
1)What kind of modifications can you make to a 5 series?, i dont mean daft stuff, i mean stuff like original kits, leather interiors etc etc??
2) Are the m30 engines good? can they be tuned up or turbo`ed or supercharged?
3) Are parts readily available at decent prices?
4) Ill be using it as an everyday family car, are they reliable?
5)Iv been told to leave it alone if it has any electrical problems or if the bearing in the middle at the back(forgot what its called sorry) is going, which makes the back end shaky, too walk away, is this true and are there any other problems which i should be aware of?
6)Iv always like the oldskool look but are these as good as the newer ones from g plates to p etc??
7) Are the 5 series as good as the 3 series?
Sorry for all the questions lads its just i want as much info as possible before i purchase one, and because iv never owned one i dont know much about them technically or practically spose you could also know that i dont know much about them aesthetically except that i do think they look nice!
If you guys could help me and give me as much info as possible i would be really grateful, providing everything seems right then ill be a regular on here and post my pics up.
