Hello Folks,
My car suddenly loose power and take so much time to start, finally after been asking all around the world seems that the problem was the crank sensor, I bought from a BMW dealer, replaced it and wuaooo!!! everything went to normallity, car worked great, engine power cameback, unfortunatelly only lasts 2 days suddenly again failed same sympthom, loose power, hard start, etc, any ideas, has anyone had this same problem, can be new part defective?

The new part can be defective. I would test the resistance of the sensor using a voltmeter to ensure its still good.

Hi, thanks Lord Vader for the replay, as a matter of fact we pulled the crank sensor for inspection and surprise!!! the mechanics routed the wire harness incorrectly and the fan pulley sucked it up and damaged the wire, unfortunatelly they will cover the new sensor replacement...

Thanks for the replay
