Help! Car won't start - BMW Forum

I drove my car to work today just fine. But when I went out for lunch, the car started but right after it starts the engine dies. I have gas in my car, and it doesn't sound like it's struggling to start. It's just that after it starts, the engine shuts off/dies. There is a ticking sound in my engine bay. I did read the previous thread about this. Could this have anything to do with my car not starting? Please help.
