Help!! 89 525i Back Passenger Side Door Not Opening

Hey guys, the back-right door of my 89 525i is completely shut and does not open at all. It won't open from the outside or the inside, and the button is stuck down and would not come up not even with force. Is this a common problem with these cars? All the other doors lock and unlock electronically with no problem. I would appreciate any advise.

Same thing happened to me. The actuator that moves the lock rod is locked up. They are about 130 from BMA or other places. Once that actuator locks up, you cant physically move the lock at all. No key, no fingers will move it. I carefully grabbed the rod with a pair of pliers and carefully lifted enough (while occassionally lifting on the outside handle) to get the door open. easy to replace after getting the door panel off, and since you also asked about that in another thread, I'll answer it there.
