Help!

My 99 528 i ive noticed that after especially wet conditions the accesory belt pully whines like the bearings are shot , to test i shot a bit of lithium grease and the noise went away- so due to mileage i ordered the pully assem. but now im wondering how in the hell do i relieve pressure / un tighten the belt itself enough to replace this part??? thanks to any insight offered- ROCCO

Just undo the tensioner bolt.....but mark the position of the old one before you undo it, then marry up old and new and mark the new one and replace it marrying up the mark you made on the engine.
