...so i parked my new BMW in the back parking lot(for workers) and a lady was backing up and scretched my rear bumper! i was to the dealer to see haw much will it cost to fix and he said 2500+work......
so i decided to do it my self the only thing i have to change is the "bumper molding" from the left side! and to paint the scretches! I looked over many web sites but couldn't find anything for 2003 BMW 525i. Can somebody help? Or give an advice! Thx !!!!
If you want a perfect fix, I'd recommend you get a used bumper cover from ebay for around $300-$400, and another $150-$200 to match-paint.
If you're lucky you might find one in your color!
The point is that my bumper is perfect! Just the bumper molding is scratched,so i was looking for left side(driver) bumper molding and replace it! It does not make sence to me to change the bumper for a minor scratch. But i could not find any for my BMW. Not even on E-bay..
You're talking about the plastic molding strip??
(There are 3 strips on the rear bumper, right?)
So why did the dealer quoted you $2500 plus labor to replace that!?
Or did you mean $25??
Yes you are right!!!! It is the molding strip, and mine is the left side! My dealer is stupide and i won't pay the money he asked! He told me that the parking sensors were demaged, and that in 2003 they can't change just the molding, they have to change the bumper! I said thx and left......
I'll do it by my self but i couldn't find any on e-bay!!!!!
