HI
Im considering this 1990 525i with 103k miles
It looks good so far but not being that familliar with BMW I need some assistance with the things to look for before I do the purchase.
the car has been in VT for its entire life
car fax is clean
Ill drive it tomorrow or as soon as the roads are a little cleaner
5spd trans
good tyres
interior good
any suggestions appreciated!

Send a message via AIM to Torque Send a message via MSN to Torque
- Check for overheating. Anything over half-way mark on the temp gauge may mean big problems.
- Suspension components will most likely need replacement very soon (especially front)... you are looking at a few hundred for all the control arms etc that will cause shaking so bad that it can break both your legs and shatter your teeth.
- Don't be alarmed if you have to put the pedal all the way down when you want to go somewhere... the engine in the car is very underpowered (ask how I know)...

- Oh, and if you do get it replace the timing belt right away if it hasn't been done in the last few thousand miles. They should be replaced every 50 thousand miles. If it snaps, you can feel free to take the engine to the nearest trash disposal place.
