Hello from MI, new to the site - BMW Forum

Hello all, I've trolled this forum for several weeks because I was prospecting a 3 series for my wife and a M3 for myself. I've read pages upon pages on what to look for when purchasing. I ended up getting her a nice 1999 328i with 90,000 miles. And I settled for this nice 1998 540i/6 with 120,000. Much more practical for me to own this beauty rather than an M3. The very first test drive was impressive however I immediately noticed the CDV delaying my shifts. So the very first mod was deleting the CDV and Oh what a difference. The 540 feels way more powerful than the M3 so needless to say, I'm proud of my choice.

New headlights are on the list!!!!

Drop soon to come and maybe updated bumper?

You just purchased a very low production model. Most 540's have automatic transmissions. Thus, making your car rare! Excellent choice.
