Hello to All! Need help too!

Hi Everyone,

I have a Series 530d Touring - a beauty and awesome to drive!

...but lately I have noticed a power issue. When the engine is started from cold she runs well and the power is normal - intense and fast. But after running on the auto-route for awhile and when the car is warm - it loses acceleration power. No guts at all.

But if I pull over and stop the engine and then re-start and rev the engine once or twice then pull away the power comes back again - but only to lose it again after awhile.

Your insight would really be appreciated - Thanks!

Sounds like you are in the UK, so not sure if this applies, but in NA most auto parts stores have an OBDII Code Scanner and will scan the car for trouble codes for free. I recommend this as the best starting point. The computer stores DTC's even if they dont trigger a CEL. If their is a noticeable issue such as you described their should be a DTC stored indicating why. It could be something simple like a sensor has failed and a scan of the system will tell you that.
