Its possible.... I wanted to do that to my 04 E60 but some guy at the bimmer junk yard told me that you cant just buy the zenon headlights and stick them on.... he said that there was alot to it and that it would get very pricey.

On an E60, the approach guaranteed not to generate any error codes is a little pricey. That would consist in buying the OEM headlight housings, bulbs, and ballasts, plugging it all in, and reprogramming the LCM.

I assume you already have projector headlights. You could simply stick xenons into your projector headlights and reprogram the LCM--there might however be error codes on this route depending on how successful the reprogramming is.

Then you'll need to buy either OEM or aftermarket projectors in addition to ballasts and bulbs.

More light where you want it--provides much clearer view of the road ahead at night.
