I have a 91 525i and when driving with the low beam headlights on they will suddenly go off, if I then turn on the high beam then the lights will come back on but in high beam (of course) but if I try and return the lights to low beam they will not come. I can then only continue driving with the high beams.
Anyone had this problem or have any idea what is the problem/cure?
I did some research and found this link to the possible cause and repair. I will probably try to replace the entire unit rather that solder the repairs myself. I have never been very good at soldering and think I would cause more of a problem if I tried the repair.
