Headlight problem

2001 525i wagon. Headlights and tail lights won't shut off, but here's the good part, only on the drivers side! used Passengers side lights shut off as normal.

I'm guessing a relay. This just happen this morning, and haven't had time to trouble shoot it. Any ideas?

i have a 2004 530i and not sure if they are quite similar in this case. mine isn't a problem, it's a convenience feature. bmw called it pathway lighting or something like that. when i turn off the engine, if i turn the signal (all the way, not just a tap) to either side, the headlight and brake light (just one side) will turn on. it'll help the passenger when you park in a dark area. i think you probably want to check your signal light. hope this will help.
