Headlight or lens replacement on 525i

I need to replace the headlights on my 5251 (E34) but am not sure if there is just a lens to replace or if the whole headlight has to be replaced. The dealer cost for a headlight is $159.00-ouch! If I do have to replace the headlights are there any other small piece parts to be needed or can I use anything from the old headlights. The bulbs/lamps are just fine but the lenses are cracked-typical for driving in Colorado.
The least inexpensive place I found for replacement headights was at Euroasian: www.euroasianautoparts.com and they ran $114.12 and $117.55 respectively for the left and right.
Any Ideas or suggestions would be most helpful.

you can find the lenses on ebay for as little as 60, or you can just look for some oem euro elipsoids which should run you about 250 for all 4, but have a better light pattern etc.
