I just bought a 04 530i and damn its cursed.Car looks brand new and only 49k but have some starting issues will long crank quit often and puffs black smoke and sputters and have taken to BMW mechanic and have put cam sensors in and whatever timing controller it uses and it hasn't fixed anything.I would be greatful for any help as Im ready to give it a new home soon only bad thing is it is a gorgeous car with M wheels and all bumpers so would love to keep it cause I stole it when I bought it guy about to lose it to the bank.
That was my thoughts too don't know anything about BMW's but have had several sports cars from vette's,cobra's and lightnings but car runs great only issue is at startup seems to be way fat when it does this little puff of black smoke and strong fuel smell.
