[attachmentid=16508] I'm interested in putting Hamann PG2's on my 540 with a sport suspension, but I can't decide if I should get 18s or 19s. I like the ride with my present 17s, so I don't want a harsh ride. But at the same time, I don't want to go through the expense of putting on new wheels if I won't SEE a noticeable difference. Hmm... what a dilemma.
17" is the max for me! for winter? back to 15" stock= "function over design" period. 19" on a 5 series sounds-to me- like taking an F-16 for food shopping at a Pathmark. Overkill; and remember even Chris Bangle couldn't deal with his delimma of "design over function"
good luck
There's nothing like seeing a sweet ride like that going down the highway w/ fatties on the back / lowered / with those rims...I have 18's and love it. Performance is great, don't really notice big difference on the bumps as opposed to 17's
Go for 18"s The bigger the wheel, the less rubber... Tires will wear faster plus the ride will be too rough!
Let us know the outcome later on...
Good luck
