Been having a problem with the transmission in my car going into the failsafe mode after it gets hot. Throws the service engine light but everything resets when it cools off overnight. Never ever happens when the outside temperature is below 50F.
County Transmission has worked on it and replaced solenoids which was the code thrown. When the problem resurfaces they isolated the cause to an electrical problem in the communications network.
Sterling diagnosed it as the transmission valve body and said it was new transmission time. Never spoke to County and spent less than an hour diagnosing the problem. Not at all comfortable with their findings.
I need an excellent BMW service center to really look at the electrical issues and find out what the problem is. Can anyone recommend a really good BMW service center in the DC area to really find and fix my problem?
I found Autobahn Service Center in Rockville, Montgomery County to have great service. I've never once had a problem with them, and they've always been efficient and quite a lot cheaper than the stealership. They've done both my e28 and e34 there before.
