I just came back from the dealership and they had a 1998 540i 6speed with Dinan Stage 2 (thats what they told me) and it also had the Dinan 5 badge on the trunk (I dont think it matters). They were asking $34k for it with 44000 Miles. It was silver with gray leather.
My Question is that is that a good price? What things I need to be aware of when I am purchasing a 540?
Make sure the car has clean service records, no accidents. I also think that price is about $10k to high, seriously. You can easily find that car for 22k-24k. I have seen many '00 540's go for less then that price. Check out eBay and autotrader, you will find way better deals.
If that '98 was perfect the most I would pay is $25-26K.
