gearbox problem

hello
i have truoble with my 2004 bmw 525 gearbox the box wont gear up only gear 1 and reverse working .
i wonder if someone had same problem and if it easy to fix

Im pressuming its an auto, try this , disconnect the battery for 15 minutes ( neg terminal 1st, and last when re connect ), this will reset the EGS, which is its brain.

still have problem

car selfhealed next day working fine but worry it going to come back
have to bring car to service and have it check up but im thinking they wont find anything and i have to pay much for it
