BMWhatever Neutral Member Join Date: Sep 2003 Location: Scandinavia Car: Posts: 67 Photos:	The manual says that it should be ATF-type oil (BMW approved of course, what the hell that is) in the manual gearbox and hypoid (SAE 80 oe 90 or something I guess) type in the drive shaft. Now what is ATF-type oil? Is that something similar to the Dextron automatic transmission oil? What is approved by BMW? __________________ BMW 518g touring (e34) -96.
