My Winter car is a '88 535i (E28) although the mfg date
is 03/87. It began refusing to start intermittently, then quit
altogether several days ago (luckily in my garage!) I have traced
the problem to a faulty transfer pump. Q: Has anyone discovered
a way to replace the transfer pump/fuel pump configuration on the
old L-Jetronics to a single aftermarket pump?

i dotn have an answer but im interested in one. as i have an 85 535i and look for anyway to get a bump in performance or reliability
