Fuel Consumption - BMW Forum

I just purchased a 1990 535i and i am wondering what i should expect the average fuel consumption to be. I am getting 15 - 16 mpg right now driving fairly conservatively but i do need new cap, rotor, wires, plugs, and a valve adjustment pretty badly as well as possably a new tempature sensor and thermostat.

I get about 18MPG in town in my 94 530i, and thats not driving so conservative...
