Anyone use a fuel system cleaner/additive in their BMWs? I have heard good things about Fuel Power, Techron and Neutra 131. Anyone use this stuff regularly in their gas to keep the carbon deposits to a minimum?
Purchased 1998 528 w/ 46K miles and thinking about treating with bottle of Techron before oil change and treating with Fuel Power or Schaeffers Neutra 131 for maintenance. Anyone do this?
I asked BMWNA and they said they couldn't recommend anything one way or the other. I contacted redline and they said BMW did a study and determined that the redline SI-2 cleaner worked and was similar to a bmw part #. I'll try that beore the next oil change.
just a small anecdote about "fuel additives" is that they do in fact make an additive to make your exhaust smell like from anything from cherries to watermelon :P
