Front passenger door lock - BMW Forum

Mine quit on me today. Its stuck in the lock position. I am assuming its the actuator. Would this be a correct assumption? When I lock it it acts kinda like when you leave the trunk unlocked and it pops the lock right back up. Then you can lock it again and it'll stay down. It does it with my alarm, key, or manually pushing the drivers lock down. Now I just gotta figure out how to get the door panel off without opening the door...

Yeah, that would probably be a very good assumption with the actuator...very common failure in the older 5's (it's not real hard but not real easy either)

I could have sworn I've read that there's a way to manually unlock your door using your key (at least I saw it for the E39, but it may also be true for the E34). I don't see how you can get the door panel off without the door open. Either way, it sucks. Sorry, man.
