I have a flat spot when accelerating hard in my '93 525i SE Touring (e34) M50 eng.
It only happens at fairly high revs, but a long way from the rev limiter
Any ideas

it also costs money that I don't really have
that aside, it's my wife's car and she doesn't want it modified, I keep trying though

a chip is like a 30 minute job and it gets you 15-20 hp and same amount of torque... talk her into it somehow

just tell her you are going to wash it and then install a chip at the car wash... it takes less than 10 minutes, and you WILL notice a differance
