I've been on the "One Day I'm going to Upgrade" list since I first discovered these things called Angel Eyes. I've only had my 97 528i for a few months now and I find myself checking out AEs several times each week. The OEM (Hella's) are darn expensive and the Angel Eye portion is not as bright or white as I would like. Some of the other 3rd party offerings are so confusing that I'm never sure what I'm buying (Gen III, Gen V, brighter, more breakable...)
I just ran discovered a new offering (new to me anyway) these AngelEyes Headlights from FK!! They are cheaper (by a couple hundred) but I have not other information. How's the quality? How difficult is the install? How plug-n-play are they really? This company appears to make headlights and other auto accessories for BMW as well as other German cars.
Has anyone taken the plunge and bought and installed a set of these?
Has anyone seen a car with them installed?
Any info you provide will be greatly appreciated.
I have OEM Hella angle eyes in my 540.First of all i did try another kit and to be honest I cannot remember the brand, but they were real difficult to fit and the plugins were quite different. The hella kit snaps straight in.
Hope it goes well for you.
I'm in the process of upgrading my headlights as well... and I'm with you Cpuken, there is so much crap out there that you don't know what you're getting... Prices vary so fricken much and the quality of the stuff is so different.
So I have decided to buy the the whole set from Bavauto.com at the end of the month, the price, $1500 plus shipping... These are Xenon plus angel eyes and according to them there is no modifications what so ever! Just plug n play... I know it's a lot of cash but I just don't want the f-around with it!!!
A lot people on this forum commented that they purchased goods (lights and such) from eBay member PAVRAC, and that they were very happy with their purchases. I contacted PAVRAC and am purchasing a set of E39 Xenon angel eyes with clear corners (including the Hella wire harness needed for the upgrade). I bought these for just under $950.00, including shipping. They should arrive in a few days. I'll report on the quality of them as soon as they arrive. In the meantime, you can reach PAVRAC at: sales@eurosportdesign.com
Those look interesting, as long as you don't get the chrome ones (yuk!). I'm very interested in hearing about these if anyone gets them...I'd pretty much given up on getting Angel Eyes because I don't think I could live with myself if I paid $800+ for a set of headlights (I do have other things to spend money on besides my car :P)

There are many top-quality products to be had from Umnitza.
One would be complete headlight replacements with HIDs and hyperwhite angel eyes (only available through Umnitza and their chain of retailers)
Another would be the DDE Lightning kit (left), which, as you can see, dominates all other forms of Demon Eyes.
Email Jon@umnitza.com, he always has the right answers for all of my lighting questions.
