Few little probs on my E39 (520i)

had the car serviced had a prob with the airbag light staying on had that fixed next day wife was using the car pulled the seat forward and light went back on and stayed on can it be reset or do i keep bringing it back to the garage also my dash keeps showing a failed bulb in the rear lens checked them but all working any ideas how to sort,also one more prob the rear door locking system on one door has stopped working was working fine until yesterday thanks in advance guys

1.Air bag reset/ you must have a loose connection under seat

2.Rear light/ probably to do with above

3. maybe related to ^ or the actuator has burnt out.

thanks mate,can i buy an actuator seperately,and could it be a diy job or would you leave to a garage

Yes you can buy the actuator seperate, it is DIY , but is rather fiddlely and you require a set of star sockets etc. which are cheap enough ( and used again & again on these cars), heres the low down on a 7 series, but the 5's the same:

BMW E38 Central Locking Actuator Repair

I found it easier to remove the whole lock when I did mine all depends if you have small hands or not.
