fault in check displays, turn signals??????

HI,

I am new to the forum, I have this problem and hoping to get an idea what could be the problem and how much it would cost.

I have a 2007 525i with about 50k. Recently I got this notice "fault in check displays, turn signals" on the display. My turn signal is not working, my speedometer light is not working and also my reverse light is not working.

any idea what could be the probelm?

thanks in advance

Firstly, before you spend hard earned cash... Try unplugging the LCM which maybe located in the passenger side above the glove box (Not sure on your model)...
Or even disconnecting the battery for an hour...
Let us know mate...

ok here a dumb question, where is the battery located? I search on the forum and found out it is in the trunk. I searched and taken out the spare tire and cant seem to find it.

took out the battery terminal for a hour or so, then put it back on and everything is back to normal. I guess that reset everything
