Iam not sure what to go with. I was thinking a custom dual setup or should I go single? What mufflers to run? Would Magnaflow, or Flowmaster sound good and finally should I go high flow cats or no??? Sorry so many questions its just that this is my first BMW and I wanna do it right without trial and error. Thanks guys!

i have a magnaflow on my e30... alittle too loud for me but 'sall good.
i did hear an e39 540i with the dinan exhaust the other day. what i like about the dinans that ive heard are that they dont seem to be blaring loud, but definitely have a nice tone to them.
Yeah you gotta like the price on the Dinans LOL. If it comes to it I dont mind spending the cash but if the Magnaflow will work and sound good I can put the cash elsewhere in the car. Coincidence on the name huh? lol
I heard an eisenmann (sp?) on a 5 series and like that. Heard a nice sounding magnaflow setup also. Depends how loud/deep do you want one? Are you doing a lot of local driving, or mostly highway?

i was under the impression that high flow cats really didnt achieve much???
i dont know if they have a specific setup for e39s but if youre just going to be buying the pieces...again, definitely buy them off of ebay. I got mine, brand new, perfect condition, and saved about $200 on everything
I have a friend that runs a local exhaust shop. He does very good work. He did my turbo Civic. 3 inch is hard to make fit under a Civic so I know he can do this with no problems. He wanted $500 for Magnalow mufflers and cats and labor
Bought the parts today. Parts and labor for a Pre-Mandrel bent dual Magnaflow Exhaust with quad rolled tips $385 intalled. Cant beat that with a stick lol.
