| Engine Oil
I apologize for the noob questions, however its my first BMW and I dont wanna mess it up. Im a mechanical person however have never had to deal with synthetic oils. My oil light came on today when i turned the car off. Reading the owners manual it states i need to add oil at my next fuel up. So I looked through the manual to see what I needed. It says synthetic 5w 30 or 5w 40 and should be API SH or better. The only oil i found like that at my local auto parts store was Castrol Syntec Blend which has the specs but it a synthetic blend. I was wondering if this is acceptable?
