Electric problem in E34

hi,

Something weird is happening with my car.. All the power seats, windows, window wipers, central locking, sunroof, they all lost power. this also includes the little trip/milage display to the right of the stereo.. my stereo doesnt work now anyhow, so i dont know if that is affected as well.. But the weird thing is that once in a while for about 10 seconds or maybe even a minute it will come back on.. This happened only about 5 times today.. i have no idea what could be wrong.. any help please?? i also left the windows open and now i cant roll them back up!! luckily its not supposed to rain for a while..

Check your fuses... I know it sounds dumb, but it could be...

Check your owners manual... I believe it talks about how to close your window in such cases.

I was gonna say it could be the fusible link by the battery terminals.
Someone here posted the same problem some time back and he traced it to the fusible link.
How did it go, got it fixed?
