Well Well, if you couldn't ask a more simple Question i would ask it...
How High does the Antenna raise on a 528i E28 1985 model with an Electric Antenna?
At the moment is only goes up till the first extention (the Largest part) of the aerial but seems to be another two maybe three stages of extentions left...
I have tryed twisting, pulling, Tapping, every which way but loose .
Is that normal hieght around 30cm i wouldn't think so maybe for FM thats cool but AM not so short?
It works fine and the vechile is in great shape fully genuine, so i wasn't going to hack away at the nuts and bolts straight up ,
I should ask the Community first ,
so Any ideas , Soaking ? dismantling , removal, anything will help ...
Thanks guys.
Yeah i spose i`ll have to remove the unit from the boot maybe i could make a tool for the nut removal,
looks like the two smaller telescopic masts are super tite held together with years of dust maybe run dry from grease and siezed but its no chop that way .
So yes one weekend i will have to remove the remote unit and inspect move closely.
I will see if i can take some pics of the unit for the post and show the repair process.. Thanks.. Mehumming E28 Australia
