I purchased clear corners for my 1998 528i on Ebay from a company called procarparts (procarparts.com). They were under $100 so I decided to try them out, does anyone have experience with these lights?
I don't have any experience, but please post your thoughts and pictures when you're done because I am seriously thinking about them for my 1997 540i...I'd love to get the OEM angel eyes, but as a college student I can't stomach $750 for headlights :
There's also smoked corner versions of the ones that you bought (here's a link for the uninformed: http://www.procarparts.com/store-detail.as...M9739%2D6183HGX ; you can find the smoked ones on eBay), but I can't decide if that would make my black car look too black, and if they would look good with the clear sidemarkers and newer taillights I'm going to put in. If ANYONE has a picture of a black 5er with smoked corners, I'd love it if you could post it. Thanks!

Did you get your product as of yet? I am looking at the same dealer on Ebay concerning smoked corners for my E39. I have read deeply into his history and some people have complained about the quality and the fit.
Since you will have a hands on..I am just wondering what you think?
i just bought clear corners, sidemarkers and taillights for my 3 series from procarparts.com and they all fit perfectly. however on my taillights the wiring was all screwed up and i had to rewire them. also, there is always the possibility of them not fitting or functioning properly since they are not oem parts.

That concerns me a bit. As I expressed I have been looking at the smoke corners from the same business. They list the cute little statement, BRAND NEW OEM STYLE REPLACEMENT. OEM style could mean just about anything.
What did you think of the quality?
When I got the email from you Phantomstorm, I thought you were talking about my tail lights. I am still waiting for my clear corners. I will let you know and post pics when they come.

If so, what's the hold up. You can sleep later. Get out there and get those things installed and pictures taken and prepare a 2 page review of the quality, fit and look of these new clears.
Yeah I'm waiting to order my clears for my E39 until I see yours, powerm! Get those things on and take some pics!!!

Update on the ebay clear corners,
I sent them MO instead of using my credit card because paypal wasn't working and I forget to include california shipping tax or something they didn't tell me about. So they are finally shipping. Ill let you know when I put them on

If you get a chance though, could you take a few pics of the clear turns prior to install... just so we can be sure we know which ones these are. Some of them appear to come with the clear-turns and headlight cover (all one unit??). I've seen others on there that are just the cear turns.

I doubt you've seen ONLY clear turns for the E39-- they can't be replaced. without replacing the whole cover. They are sealed within the cover for the entire headlight. I know, I tried to take my orange ones out. So far, I've looked all over the internet and the only two I've found for 97-00 E39s was the "clear" (white) and smoked corners with the headlight cover.
