I have replaced my microfilter and have tried unsuccessfully to reset the service interval. I have tried to do it as suggested in other posts on this forum. Here is what is happening.
I put the key in but do not start the engine.
I have reset the tripometer to 0.
I hold the reset tripometer button until the triangle shows up. As soon as I let go, the clock reappears no matter how fast or slow it takes me to repush it again, which according to the instructions, should bring up the brake icon.
If I hold it for a long long time, I eventually get to see some some german words and a menu that goes from 1.0 to 1.7, but it does not appear to have anything to do with the service icons.
What am I doing wrong? I usually follow directions well.
I am having the same problem. Replaced the spark plugs. Trying to reset the indicator but can't access it. As soon as I get to the service indicator light the display jumps back to the regular display. I've searched numerous posts, tried pumping the brake pedals, using the check button to display the date first, trying it with the engine running, etc. Nothing works. Any other alternative methods out there? Thanks.
turn key to ON, or if push button start push once after you insert key fob. Make sure that your instrument cluster has the time, have to wait a few secs for seatbelt light to disappear, etc. Hold in odometer button and yellow ! pops up, keep holding till services pop up. Hit odometer button to cycle between services. To reset a service hold in odometer button till it says reset, then let off again and hold until mileage changes.
My wording prob. sucks, but you have to have the cluster to where it says the time, and temp. Cant have check control up, or seatbelt light, etc or it wont go to services.
