my dad recently purchased a 2004 BMW 530i with the sport package; 18inch wheels with high performance run flat tires, and the standard 6speed manual tranny. we love the car. he and i were curious, is there an aftermarket yet for these cars? i.e. intake, freer flowing exhaust, lowering springs, chip's, et cetera?
any feed back would be most appreciated. im try to gather some info for him before i got back to college in the fall. thanks!
Looks great! As powerm pointed out, there are some things available, but I think the best advice is to wait a year or two. That way, not only will there be more parts available to choose from, but you will be able to enjoy that "I have something new" feeling both now (since the car is new) and later (when you start modding it).
Once piece of advice: please save the wild angled camera shots for the ricer crowd.

Nice car. Try contacting DINAN.
These guys have all types of stuff for BMW,and they are the only company that BMW will let you use aftermarket stuff and not mess up your warranty.

Now we have pictures that are "ricer".
Enough already with the "ricer" label.
Please don't mention it again on bmw-forums.com. It doesn't add any new knowledge to the site and with the smily that you added, it kinda makes you look uneducated and foolish....not that you are....it justs makes you look that way. And to post a reply like this to a new member is way off base.
Well, guess what, Silver, I've seen other 'older' members throw that out there before, and I agree with it, so I'll say it if I want to. Don't try to restrict what I'm allowed to mention...what is this, the Motherland? Who do you think you are? That was really offensive. You don't agree with something I post, fine, say so, but don't tell me not to say it anymore just because you don't like it. I agree that "ricer" can be overused, but if you search through my posts I think you'll find that's the probably the only time I've ever used it. Sorry if you've been annoyed by it and I broke the camel's back or something, but don't take it out on me. There are certain conditions to which it can apply, and don't deny that the crazy-angle photos are predominately in Japanese import tuner magazines and web sites. I think it somehow cheapens the look...if he likes it that's fine, that's why I labeled it 'advice', as in friendly suggestion, as in I'm not ordering anyone to do anything. And despite what you may think, I'm sure Mr. Specter542 is all growed up enough to handle something as simple as that even though he's a new member. Good thing you're not a moderator...if they were telling us "don't use this word, don't use that word...we don't like them", I would have been out of here a long time ago. Furthermore, if you want to continue to discuss this, we can do it in private.
Specter542...I hope you weren't offended by my statement; it was not intended to be so. If you were, I apologize. I hope you understand that it was just a harmless opinion/piece of advice, and I'm glad you're a member here. That's a nice Volvo too
Now...back to cars

Personally, I wouldn't categorize a photo angle as being "ricer", nor would I suggest that it shouldn't be done, but opinions are like rear ends.... :P and they are all welcome.
Be courteous in expressing one's opinions, please.

Hey silver... just as an FYI, that smiley ( ) is waiving his index finger like "no, no".. not his middle finger. That smiley is easily mis-construed. C'mon guys, let's play nice. Everyone is here for the enjoyment.
HI TECH, haven't seen you around in a while... not that I've been around much but good to see ya

When you get Celis I would go to Pavrac, thats where I got mine... People are happy with his fake ones but I got the OEM ones. As for clear corners, do not get DEPO. Thats what I have... I want to put OEM ones on before these leak
