E60/61, 523.....ok engine??????

Hi all

I am new here to the forum.

I am seeking a 5 series e60 or e61. Yes, my wife say we NEED a touring.....Not so sure about that.....

But, I need some help, is the 523 engine a bit smal for the big 5 series? I am looking at one with the new engine, from mid. 2007 with automatic.
Will I be better of to go for a 525?

I did test drive one, and it was fine. But, a test drive is only a test. Hard to say what it is after 1 year of use. So, if some have one, all help info is good to me.
