E60 530d Sport Release Dates

Does anybody know where I can find out the likely release date for the Sport Model on the E60?

I am in the process of trying to decide whether to go for the 530d or the 530i with SMG. My local dealer let me have a 530d on Saturday morning and I have to say that the performance was excellent. I just have something in the back of my mind that makes me think the 530i (SMG) will be that much more fun. Does anybody have any experience with this box (not M3 as SMG is different).

I do have to consider the CO2 of the vehicle so that does make a difference.

I dont know much about cars to tell you the truth. Im thinking of purchasing 545i, how good is that compared to the ones you mentioned, and what is SMG?

SMG - Sequential Manual Gearbox. This basically is a manual car with an hydraulic clutch that is activated when gear change is made either by the paddle shift of the gear lever.

It also had an automatic setting and a sport setting for further enhanced driving.
