E39_Shift points

The shift points are messed up on my 97 540i automatic. When shifting from N to D it jerks pretty hard forward. N to R- normal. When normal driving in D the shift points are early until it gets to 3 then it is early. It wont shift from 4 to 5 without going quickly to N (lowering the RPM). When in 4, if I floor the peddle to downshit- it wont. When in Sport: 2 is normal but it wont upshift if I hit the rev, and if I manually shift to 3 it wont shift. The transmission has no codes according to the indy shop. Is this something to do with the MAF or the TPS or misadjusted throttle cable ??????

Okay, the problem was: Had the wire harness switched between the TPS and the ICV. This was done after I cleaned the throttle body.
