I have a 97 528i....the speakers sound muffled in FM mode, CDs sound a little better. Are the speakers in a 97 528 notorious for being marginal, I plan to replace them all. Or, are there other adjustments that I don't know about other than the bass/treble? Plus, does the Audio button have a purpose? Accortding to the manual, it looks like it may be part of an optional stereo package.
Seems like a $45K car (in its time) would have a slightly betters system.
