e39 Steering wheel leather

Okay i don't even know what this piece is called or the part number if anyone knows let me know...

but the leather that covers my steering wheel shaft between the dash board and the steering column has now popped off i want to fix it to avoid dust and debris from getting in there.

It has some clips but they are all broken

if anyone has any tips or routes in which you can guide me in i would greatly appreciate it

if the part (leather) itself is not torn you should just get some new clips since they are the only broken pieces
